Is al-Marayati what the Wall St Journal acknowledges as a ‘moderate Muslim’? Then why did they gave him a platform to deceive more Americans? For someone who consorts with extremists, you wouldn’t think they would. But they did.

Who is Salam Marayati and why does the Wall Street Journal consider him a moderate Muslim?

When it comes to supposed moderate Muslim leaders from the Arab world, I have an edge. I read what they say in Arabic not English. That enables me to review their circle of friends and activities in the Arab communities in America.

As Arabs and former Muslims we can gain insight to what their hearts conceal. On June 6, 2009 at Anaheim, California, MPAC led by Salam Al-Marayati invited Dr. Mustafa Al-Barghouti for a fundraising event intended to aid Palestinian supposed medical needs. Barghouti is a leader of the Palestinian People’s Party (PPP), a Communist movement that collaborated in 2006 with the DFLP (Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine), a terror organization Marxist-Leninist terrorist organization that carried out a number of shooting attacks against Israeli targets. One of those was the August 25, 2001 attack on a military base in Gaza that killed three Israeli soldiers and wounded seven others. One would wonder wat Al-Marayati who runs MPAC, a Islamic religious ‘conservative’ institution, would be be doing with such an extremist organization? Al-Marayati and Barghouti are birds of a feather who agee “that international Zionism is the problem.” Al-Marayati stated that “Israel should be a suspect of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center”.

What type of Muslims support Al-Marayati? You would think that extremist Muslims would hate him? Hardly. Dar Al Ber Society, (Al Ber) a news agency on the internet last month ran a supporting article titled “American Muslims discovered American hidden political agenda”. Al Ber writes of Al-Marayati “The rising influence of the Jewish lobby in American domestic politics and foreign affairs, especially its impact on the presidential election, it became known that the policy necessarily raises the question of what made MPAC hold its annual conference last month calling on a number of Muslim American youth leaders to discuss how to participate more effectively in the political process. Salam Marayati, the Director-General of the Council stated that: “The invitation has been sent to the 25 most promising of these young people from various U.S.states to attend the conference in Washington, DC; to help them understand how to play a role in the political process. ” On that same webpage the Muslims responding to the article posted “Allah, give victory to the Muslims in America and humiliate their enemy…Allah, give us joy and martyrdom.”

Is al-Marayati what the Wall St Journal acknowledges as a ‘moderate Muslim’? Then why did they gave him a platform to deceive more Americans? For someone who consorts with extremists, you wouldn’t think they would. But they did.
